This section will deal with the theme of the origins of the Mediterranean city with the exploration of one of its most interesting models, that of the Hellenistic city.
It will be investigated at different dimensional scales, from the truly urban to that of its grand monumental complexes.

The cities of Alexandria and Kos will be analysed in particular.
